BBC Spoke & Hub Charity Ride

This is the 12th year the Bellevue Bicycle Club has hosted this charity fund raising event. After costs, proceeds raised go to the charity each year as well as one selected bicycle advocacy cause.

In past years the charities supported have included Sarpy County CASA, the Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity of Sarpy County, Activate Omaha, Nebraska Humane Society, Wabash Trace Nature Trail, Team Nebraska & The US Transplant Games, Sarpy County Safe Haven Transitional Shelter, and the MAPA Ft. Crook Road Trail Fund, and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This year's proceeds will be donated to Team RWB - an organization that works with vets who have challenges transitioning from military to civilian life.

The BBC Spoke and Hub Ride has always been structured around the concept of having a beginning point known as the “Hub” from which multiple “Spoke” routes of varying lengths could be ridden that would bring you back to the hub. You can ride more than one spoke if you so choose. Location of the Hub and the Spokes have been impacted by Missouri River flooding so routes have been adjusted as needed.

The Hub is at Haworth Park, 2052 Payne Drive, Bellevue (just before the Bellevue Bridge on HWY 370).

For those planning on riding a Century, it will start at 7:00. A Century may be completed by riding Spoke 2 (large IA loop) and then completing Spokes 3 and 4. Please, if you intend to complete the Century, you should inform the Spoke and Hub staff the day of the ride. If you are going to ride either loop in Iowa, please do that first as you must be back across the bridge by 1 PM.

Ride any distance you like, it’s all about fun. Refreshments at the Hub. Improved food at the SAG stops on the spokes. SAG support will be provided for minor repairs.

Registrations are available for singles or family. A family is two household adults and their family children.
Note: There are two ways to register:
1. Online early registration and payment is accepted until Sep 7.
2. After that date, you can register and pay the "day of" fee on Sep 10.
Packet pick-up at the Hub: Saturday, September 10 6:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.
