About the Bellevue Bicycle Club

Club.jpgThe Bellevue Bicycle Club (BBC), founded in 2003 by Howard Grant. We are dedicated to the encouragement of all aspects of bicycling, including touring and mountain biking. The purpose of the club is: to sponsor recreational cycling activities, encourage bicycling as a transportation alternative and to promote bicyclists' rights and safe bicycling practices. BBC is a volunteer, non-profit organization.

We strongly believe in bicycle advocacy and community involvement. Our participation in programs such as Bike to Work, Share the Road and The Ride of Silence have helped us show the community that bicyclists have rights to the road too.

Our club has also supported a number of charitable organizations around the metro area.  We have donated to the Lance Armstrong Foundation; our annual Spoke and Hub ride has raised funds for the Omaha Food Bank and Habitat for Humanity.  We have also donated volunteer hours to various local cycling events.

If you are afraid of meeting new people and having fun then this club is not for you.  Please don’t let the fear of your abilities stop you from coming out and riding with us. We’re not bike snobs and we look forward to meeting you.
