PayPal does not charge the club to receive money in the U.S. when you send the money from the PayPal website using your PayPal balance or your bank account. Even if you don't yet have a PayPal account and want to use a debit or credit card, this is possible by creating a PayPal account.
However, if you a make payment from the PayPal website using a debit card or credit card, you will be responsible for the PayPal fee so do not pass it on to the club (you will have the option to pay yourself or pass it on).
Most importantly, be sure to select the Personal tab (default is Purchase tab) and Payment Owed before proceeding with sending the payment.
The PayPal fee is 2.9% plus $0.30 USD of the amount you send. For example, if you are sending $100.00 USD by credit card, the fee would be $3.20 USD ($2.90 + $0.30)...so if you send the club $25, your actual charge will be $26.03 and likewise, if you send the club $35, your actual charge will be $36.32.
If you log onto PayPal first, you can review PayPal fees at this link:
Remember, it is your responsibility as the sender to properly specify that you will pay the PayPal fee - please do not expect the BBC to cover this expense for you.
Send Money To: bbcfunds@bellbikeclub.org select Personal select Payment Owed
If using your bank account, there should be no fee If using credit card, select "I will pay the fee" (there will be a check box, be sure the box is checked)
Two things will trigger whether the club is assessed fees:
1) the sender uses a credit or debit card 2) the money is sent as a payment for goods or services
so please remember to follow all the steps outlined above. We do not offer PayPal as a payment type for any goods or services, but merely as a way for you to satisfy a personal payment owed the club.
